Abu Dhabi: transport benefits worth checking before your next trip
What is reported
Abu Dhabi Mobility's People of Determination page lists toll exemptions, bus travel using a Hafilat smart card and a 50% taxi fare discount under the relevant arrangements. For the toll exemption, it describes an application covering one vehicle registered to the applicant or a first-degree relative.
Why it matters in the UAE
These arrangements may help eligible residents travel more independently and manage transport costs. Benefits are subject to the relevant application and card requirements; showing disability identification alone should not be assumed to activate every concession.
What you can do
Check the current process with Abu Dhabi Mobility before travelling or applying. Its page still names the Ministry of Community Development for taxi discount card requests, so confirm the responsible service channel.
